SCANNER CS 3800

CARESTREAM

Carestream is a vibrant global company with a proven track record in imaging technology and unmatched service.

We proclaim the end of the era of nausea! If you were one of those who would like to take home your dental mold, as a souvenir, we are sorry, but we can no longer offer you this item. In return, we offer you the right to see a 3D mold from your mouth, of great quality!

Our intraoral scanner from Carestream uses 3D technology, and its operation is simple and fast compared to the traditional method of mold building. By emitting a beam of light, the intraoral chamber captures the mouth cavity with great detail. At the same time, the captured images are processed on the dentist’s computer, resulting in a 3D mold that will allow to define, in a more effective way, the necessary treatments.

It can be used to assist in the construction of dental prostheses, orthodontic appliances, invisible aligners, facets and crowns, among other treatments.

What are the differences compared to conventional mold printing?

Conventional printing is a more time-consuming technique, where the use of a drawbar for mold making is required. After the prior preparation of the material, it is applied to the waterslide and then twisted by the patient for a few minutes. The whole procedure and the materials used cause discomfort to the user, often causing choking and nausea. In addition, after the mold is ready, it is necessary to wait a few days for the entire process of sending and execution of the work by the prosthetist to be completed.

Its use brings several advantages, both for the dentist and for the patient:

Faster and more comfortable procedure

Dispenses with the use of the waterslide, whose use may cause discomfort to the patient

Makes a strict record, as it can reach areas of the mouth that are difficult to access

Reduces the manufacturing process of a prosthesis or dental appliance, as the information collected is quickly communicated to the laboratory

The printing process becomes simpler with digital submission of work

Storage is digital, being much more practical than physical storage of each patient’s molds
